Tamara Stepanyan-Ferrari’s movie Village of Women won the “Best Documentary” award at Torino Underground Cinefest! The jury was announcing the award with the following motivation: «for the ability of the director Tamara Stepanyan to investigate a melancholy and tenacious female community, with confidence, irony and warmth. Because her gaze finds the right distance between observation and participation, giving us a generous dose of lived feminism. A film that moves between independence and exile with an unavoidable naturalness».
We congratulate Tamara Stepanyan-Ferrari on the behalf of the whole Antidote Team!
The 9th edition of Torino Underground Cinefest was held from September the 27th to October the 5th.
