with the following motivation:
"A surprising and fascinating story by and about a young and brilliant Afghan woman whose life becomes both Russian and Ukrainian at the same time (the current war remains in the background but its weight is felt in the author's heart). The documentary focuses on the historical and ideological meaning of architecture, not only in Moscow, of the last century. The walls that protect and/or enhance monuments, buildings, gardens and spaces are dividing fences that recall the many "walls" that continue to divide territories, peoples and individuals in the world. Therefore, they represent more of an obstacle than a protection. The director meets her family and the other interlocutors and, thanks to an original editing, the tone of her voice and her proud and suffering figure, expresses the doubt that, after all, the world is all one big fence".

“This is my journey from material fences to metaphorical fences through my three homelands – Afghanistan, Russia and Ukraine in an attempt to answer the question: "Who creates fences?"
