Alessandra Lancellotti (Born in Potenza, Italy, on May 13th 1990)
Alessandra Lancellotti (Italy, 1990) is an architect, archivist, and author in cinema. She studied at the Technische Universität in Vienna and at the Politecnico di Torino. Currently, she works for Architeca, the Film Archive of the Department of Architecture and Design. At the same university, she began her PhD in Architectural and Landscape Heritage in 2020.
Since 2014 she has worked in the film production company Caucaso. She joined Enrico Masi as an assistant director on the films Lepanto - Ultimo Cangaceiro (Italy-Brazil 2016) and Shelter - Farewell to Eden (Italy-France 2019). Alongside Enrico Masi, she directed the documentary Lucus a Lucendo. A place for light to be (Italy 2019) about Carlo Levi, jewish painter, writer, and political activist, presented at the Torino Film Festival in 2019 and at Matera European Capital of Culture, and theatrically distributed by Luce Cinecittà. Her research continues with the documentary Portrait of the King as a Child (Il Re Fanciullo), which marks her individual debut in feature-length works as an author and director.
