Romed Wyder 's movie A Fleeting Encounter will be shown at Batumi International Art-House Film Festival (BIAFF).
The screening takes place on the 23rd September, 19.30.
Grappling with a mid-life crisis, Sacha leaves his girlfriend and escapes to his grandparents’ Airbnb. He is surprised by the presence of Marjan, an Iranian woman who is facing her own marital crisis.
They are both annoyed at having to share the apartment and rather than finding a place of retreat, tension builds. When Mina, a vibrant American, arrives, their mutual prejudices give way to curiosity and complicity. What began as an involuntary encounter becomes a moment of new possibilities.
Batumi International Film Festival was established in 2006. The mission of BIAFF is to be an international event designed to enhance cultural exchange, understanding, and collaboration through the screening of new art house-house and non-commercial films from Georgia and abroad. The event provides an opportunity for well known film makers, producers and film critics to meet and share their expertise and works with other people in their respective fields and gives local cinema lovers and other individuals a better understanding of the industry and it’s people through retrospectives. BIAFF is also focused on providing a quality educational opportunity for those people interested in film and cinematography.
The 17th Batumi International Art-house Film Festival will be held in Batumi on the 18-25 of September.
A Fleeting Encounter participates in Feature Films Competition section.
